Saturated fats -

they are basically the bad fats which are solid in nature. Our body use these fats to produce really bad fats called LDL cholesterol . This LDL is what which can block our arteries and can cause heart attack, strokes , cancer, diabetes and obesity.
Too much saturated fat can make too much cholesterol which may build up on arteries , resulting in atheroscleeosis ( hardening arteries from fatty deposits).
Saturated fat usually come from animal source- meat, cheese, butter, ghee ( clarified butter) , milk and other whole milk dairy products.

Polyunsaturated fats-

they are usually liquid in nature . These fats, made from vegetables include sunflower, cottonseed, safflower  and corn oil. These fats are good only if taken in small to moderate quantity if you increase the intake of polyunsaturated fats you may notice improper functioning of immune system which might be the result of inflammatory reaction in the body’s tissue. Vegetable oil contains Omega 6. which can help to lower blood cholesterol if taken in small quantity.
For polyunsaturated fats just remember one rule it is a  good fat which can turn into bad if taken in large amount. Polyunsaturated fats may also be susceptible to oxidation which then allows the call to absorb bad fats (saturated fats and cholesterol).

Monounsaturated fats-

these are the best fats to consume . These fats are liquid at room temperature. They lowers blood cholesterol and increase good HDL cholesterol. These good fats are found in olive oil , peanut oil, canola oil. They are also found in nuts and avocados.

Trans fats-

they are the worst fats that exist. They are produced when the polyunsaturated fats in vegetable oil umdergo a process called hydrogenation, where hydrogen atoms are added to polyunsaturated fats. Trans fats harms our body by increasing LDL cholesterol and saturated fats and decreasing HDL Cholesterol.
