5 steps to healthy lifestyle

It’s the time to take charge of your body, health and life !!!

Now  here are the steps to climb the stairs if healthy and long life.

Step 1: Give your body the energy it needs.
Don’t starve just eat healthy.
Eat food rich in protein, complex carbs (including salads and fruits)good fats, vitamins, minerals, fibre for energy. Eating right so that the body is properly nourished.
Don’t eat empty calorie food like biscuits and other junk food. Have a proper control on food. Monitor every thing you eat. Don’t just let things go in the body because it is tasty, body needs proper care don’t take it as a bin.

Here are some guidelines:

Eat 6-11 servings a day of breads or grains, like rice, pasta, tortillas, oats, millets or cereal.
Eat 3-5 servings a day of vegetables, like carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, broccoli, or peas.
Eat 2-4 servings a day of fruits, like apples,oranges, kiwi, peaches, mangos, bananas, or fruit juice.
Eat 2-3 servings a day of meat, fish, beans, eggs or nuts, for protein.
Eat 2-3 servings a day of dairy products like yogurt, cheese, or milk.
Include a handful of dry fruits and nuts in your diet.
Cut down on alcohol, fatty foods such as butter, grease, or oil, and “junk food” like chips or candy.

Step 2: Stay physically active.
Diet and exercise are 2 important things to achieve fitness goals.
You need to involve yourself in some fitness activity like jogging, aerobics, swimming, yoga, power yoga, playing badminton, basketball, cricket, football, brisk walk, cycling.
Physical activity makes the body stronger and flexible, it keeps the stress and depression away, maintain a healthy body weight,fight illness,fight osteoporosis.
It also helps body to absorb nutrients properly.

Step 3: Keep the mind  healthy too.
When you are in a good state of mind, you make good decisions for yourself about your job, your lifestyle, and your health. You need to be always happy . Tensions, Stress, depression, anxiety should not bother you. Be relax and calm.
You can do yoga or meditate to keep your mind in good state.

Step 4: Get regular health care.
Many people think they only need to see a doctor when they are sick or injured. As we all know that prevention is better than cure , so why we wait to fall sick to see doctors. Even if you are fit get your medical health check up done after every 6 months.Know what diseases you are at risk for and attend regular screenings for them.

Step 5: Practice safe living habits
Enjoy life, it’s a beautiful gift. Stay away from drugs, alcohol.
Cut down or stop the use of cigarettes, cigars, or chewing tobacco.
Make good friends. Stay away from violent people, Stay safe on road.
Eat food when you are hungry. Chew it properly. Drink liquids moderately.  Never forget to drink 8-10 glasses of water in a day. Bathe as needed but avoid lengthy hot baths as they can deplete the body of minerals and have a weakening effect.cook in right utensils.
Stay away from disease. Practice hygiene . Wash your hands regularly to avoid the spread of germs.
