Making of flipkart

Flipkart is India’s famous e- commerce website though it is registered in Singapore but it sells products in India through a company named WS Retail.

Flipkart Founder- Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal

Flipkart was founded by two people who were IIT, delhi pass outs, Sachin Bansal (born August 5, 1981)and Binny Bansal , both of them before starting this venture served amazon.com . Both of them are from Chandigarh. Binny Bansal resides in Bangalore to oversee flipkart Bangalore operations. Binny was rejected twice by google and now see where they are.

They formed a company in name of flipkart online services Pvt. Ltd. in October 2008 by spending Rs 400000 as set up cost though they started working on it in 2007. In beginning they started with books and soon they expanded their business by introducing electronic and lifestyle products.

In few years this company became so big that it has more than 9000 employees.
Flipkart is rising continuously that can be said from their sales figure. From Rs 40 million sales in FY 2008-2009 they are selling in billions now. In a minute they sell around 20 products. Today they generate Rs 1.5 crores a day.

They aim to generate revenue of Rs 50 billions by 2015.
The achievement of Sunny Bansal and Binny Bansal is really commendable and an inspiration to those who have the ideas but lack courage to implement it.
In beginning they faced a lot of difficulties as they were not getting vendors easily, they were new and have no prior experience in convincing vendors to come on their company board , no sense of business but still they made it.

Flipkart and Myntra

This reminds me that how true this text is “The only failure is not trying”. Today this company has made India’s biggest E commerce consolidation. Flipkart and Myntra are getting together to create one of the largest e-commerce stories and together we will dominate the market. Flipkart has acquired online fashion retailer Myntra in an estimated Rs 2,000 crore deal. The move is expected to help Flipkart strengthen its apparel portfolio and compete more aggressively with peers like Amazon and Snapdeal.

If you are a hard worker, sky is the limit.
