Moong dal dosa

An extremely nutritious dosa originally from andhra pradesh. It goes well with tomato chutney or coconut chutney.

2 cups green moong dal, soaked
1 large onion
2 finely grated carrot
Ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves, 1 teaspoon jeera
2 teaspoon oil
Salt to taste

Soak moong dal overnight. Grind together with ginger, chillies, coriander leaves and salt. Add finely chopped onions, carrot, and jeera to the dose batter.
Heat a few drops of oil in a non stick pan . Pour out batter, to make a medium thick dosa. When one side is golden brown, flip over to brown other side. Serve hot .

The Moong Dal contains rich quantities of Vitamin A, B, C, E and minerals, such as calcium, iron and potassium.

It has very low fat content which helps in reducing weight.

It is a rich source of protein and fiber which helps one to lower the high cholesterol level in the blood system.
